| An der schoensten Stelle von Sorrento, ueber die Felsen wo damals es gab eine "Tonnara", "La Tonnarella" ist eine ruhige Oase fuer diejenigen die der Himmel auf Erde geniessen moechten. La Tonnarella war frueher die Sommerresidenz der Familie Gargiulo, aber im Laufe der Jahre wurde daraus ein Hotel.
Die antike Ausstattung, die Toepferei und die Architektur sind bis heute unveraendert geblieben. Sie bilden den Rahmen und den Hintergrund des tiefblauen Meeres.
Von fast jedem Hotelzimmer hat man eine wundervolle Aussicht ueber den Golf und die Bucht von Sorrent. Einige der Hotelzimmer haben grosse Terrassen oder Balkone, andere sind mit Stilmoebeln und einem Hydro-Massagebad ausgestattet. |

WIE KANN MAN SORRENTO ERREICHEN
Mit dem Zug:
Von "Roma Termini" Bahnhof: ein Zug nach "Napoli Centrale" oder "Napoli Piazza Garibaldi" nehmen, dann, Zug nach Sorrento mit der Circumvesuviana Bahn (1 Stunde).
Auf dem Seewege:
Von Hafenmole Molo Beverello in Piazza Municipio ein Tragflächenboot nach Sorrento nehmen.
Mit dem Auto:
Von Rom: Autobahn A1 nehmen in Richtung "Napoli". Nach der Napoli Autobahnstelle, nehmen die Salerno-Reggio Calabria Autobahn und folgen die Richtung "Penisola Sorrentina". Nach der Autobahnausfahrt Castellammare di Stabia, in Richtung "Sorrento" gehen.

We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel La Tonnarella. The location is spectacular and the updated rooms are nicely appointed and very comfortable.

Very nice hotel with wonderful views of the Bay of Naples. Nicely situated to Sorrento, with a quiet environment. Staff very pleasant and helpful.

LaTonnarella made our stay in Sorrento a delight. The room was beautiful, spacious and comfortable, the bathroom was great, and the view of the sea from our lovely balcony was addictive. The free parking is a real plus. I would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone!

In a holiday where over a dozen different accommodations were used - this one had the best service.

The hotel offers very nice views, if you get a good room. The location is excellent, as is the restaurant, but the service by the hotel staff is barely adequate.

What a fantastic hotel. The views from the terrace (room 3) must be the best in Sorrento. All the big hotels look out onto the rooftops (and carparks) of Sorrento, because of its unique position on a rocky outcrop, La Tonnarella looks onto Sorrento from the sea thus you have marvellous view of the marinas (yes both of them) and the 'beach'.
The food and service in the restaurant were excellent. The room (no. 3) was clean, bright and very comfortable.
Forget the star rating, this is the perfect hotel for a visit to Sorrento.

The hotel was very nice, however the walls between rooms were very thin and you could hear the noises in the next room very clearly. Not very nice if you wanted to get a good night's sleep !
