The hotel, next to archaeological excavations and to Vesuvius, is set between Naples and Sorrentum at few kilometres from Amalfi and Sorrento Coast or from Naples historical centre .

Naples, Pompei, Ercolano. An old Legend tells that the city of Ercolano was founded by Hercules, and it still has its name (in Latin "Herculaneum", in Greek "Heràkleion"). According to the History instead, Herculaneum was founded at the end of I cent. a.D.., by the Greeks.
The rich Roman end Campanian attracted by the ravishing view of the gulf of Naples that is possible to see by this place, built their residences and transformed Herculaneum in an exclusive place.
Covered by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 a.D., Herculaneum was rediscovered after the excavations in 1709, thanks to Austrian prince D'Elboeuf.
